There is a world somewhere beyond the sight of the foolish, a land that is said to exist only in the mind’s eye. But do not be deceived; this fabled place exists. However, it is not quite the paradise it is so told to be. There was the time when this land was docile, when it was peaceful. Foliage and flora flourished there, along with assorted small fauna, living in harmony together. When the immortal fae damned Queen Mab first came across these lands, she was determined it would continue in this way while supporting a lush and plentiful population of her fellow equines. Slowly, they came. The Immortal Queen’s dream was coming true, one babe at a time. Generations were born and died accordingly, and Mab watched proudly from her Northern temple, dubbed Icelandica, from whence she very scarcely ventured. Her laws were followed without question, and all lived in peace and harmony, as was meant for this beautiful land.
But the tables turned and the winds of fate began to blow in a different direction in the most innocent way, as they always did. This drastic change was brought about by none other then the dark force of love. Rauna, the young daughter of a loyal servant to the Queen, fell madly in love with an older brute and an enemy of her father’s. They conducted a whirlwind love affair under her father’s nose before the steed left her and the lands forever. A brujo was born and dubbed Kearney from her womb. Kearney was different. He observed. He gathered. He analyzed. Kearney was the first of the rebels who fought against living under universal rules. The peace was broken as he gathered others to his side. Battles against the monarchy began and the rebels broke away.
The land was now split into four main herams. The North and the East fought for the peace that had once been a reality in their land. The South and the West fought against this, remaining unmoved from the reason of their rebellion. For a hundred years the war has raged on. Will the Land of the Compass ever come to peace again?
NOTE: This is NOT a good/evil RPG!
